I feel like I'm not getting enough work done today because my coworkers keep asking for help, how will I ever be able to show that I am capable of doing good at my job if I can never get it finished
According to Alfred Adler's Theory of individual psychology, we are motivated by the need to feel superior, to grow and overcome challenges. This is my mom in the picture. I believe that a challenge my mom has at work that she is trying to overcome is feeling like she needs to prove herself to her boss. In the scene, she is struggling to do that because of interruptions while she is working.
Alfred Adler's Theory of individual psychology also says that we strive for perfection and that this attempt to balance perceived weaknesses with strengths is not a sign of abnormality, but a natural response. My mother will sometimes loose sleep at night trying to plan out the next day to be better than the day before.
I can't get any sleep. All I can think about is how work is going to go tomorrow and if I will be able to get everything done in time to come home and cook
