Witless- Lennie is witless because he is not aware of his surroundings, never knows what's going on, and always forgets things.
Protective- George is like a parent to Lennie. Even though George is mean to Lennie , he is protective. George always takes care of Lennie and making sure they both get a job.
How the setting is similar to the dream is that they both take place during the Great Depression in the 1930's. They want their dream house to be in the middle of nowhere just like how they were in the setting in chapter 1, miles away from Soledad.
Future events that may occur in the bunk house is that Curley might start a fight or attempt to start one or Lennie might say something to someone and they will get in trouble.
I think that life for the workers will be very difficult. They will have to work a lot outside in the heat and they will be starving.
