The Blue Devils had made their first Superbowl since 1999 and were very nervous coming off the bus. Team leader Benny Wallace, gave them a speech that would make everyone want to perform.
The Blue Devils received the kickoff and scored on that possession, showing that they were here to play. However, after that, some of the Blue Devils became cocky and it showed on their next defensive drive.
The Redhawks showed who had been the powerhouse of the league the past 5 years and scored within four plays. It was going to be a very tough game for both teams.
Coach Kenneth, who was previously the Los Angeles Rams coach, saw his guys were gassed and spoke the only words that came to mind. "We gotta keep grinding out there, because this game isn't over."
The third quarter showed how tired both teams were and neither teams could score. On their first possession of the 4th, Benny got hurt and the offense couldn't do anything without him.
The defense was able to get the Blue Devils the ball back on the 30 yard line.The Blue Devils couldn't get anything done on offense... until 3rd down. Benny had convinced coach to put him back in the game. On that play, Benny threw a perfect ball caught for a touchdown. The RedHawks 59 game winning streak was snapped.
