  • Storming the Bastille
  • They are storming the Bstille because people were angery that Louis XVI was threatening to arrest the leaders of the National Assembly.
  • In August 1789, the National Assembly made the Declaration of the Right of men, and they reformed the legal system
  • The Declaration of the Rights of Man gave people rights such as freedom of religion, speech, and press.
  • Austria and Purssia join forces with France to fight against Britain, Spain, and Holland.
  • These countries went to war with each other to aid and attack the royal family.
  • The Jocobin leaders turned against each other. Anyone who was suspected to oppose the committee was arrested.
  • The leaders turned against each othr because one of the leaders were aiding the enemies of France.
  • The French were running out of money because of corruption and inefficiency of The Directory and because of the wars Louis XVI started.
  • The Napollenic Era was the rise of Frence power in Europe.
