Act 4- Inside Jail Proctor, Elizabeth, Hathorne
Hathorne: What say you, Proctor? The sun is soon up. Elizabeth: Do what you will. Proctor: I want my life. I will have my lie.
Proctor: I have signed it, now get rid of it Danforth: NO! We shall post this on the doors. Proctor: NO! I have signed it and god has seen it. Hale: Just accept the confession Danforth. Danforth: If it is a lie, then I will not except it. Proctor: I only have one name and I will not let it be destroyed. (Grabs confession and tears it up.) Danforth: YOU WILL HANG!
