  • Commentator: As i said, I will be explaining the stances in boxing. There are 3 types of stances, Upright stance, Semi stance and Full crouch. The first stance, the upright stance, is a fully upright stance with the legs shoulder-width apart. Right-handed boxers lead with the left foot and fist for more penetration power.
  • Commentator: The second stance is the Semi crouch stance. The lead hand and foot are also placed in front, while the back is straight. The boxer may lean forward slightly.
  • Commentator: The third stance is the Full crouch. This stance is good for covering the face from incoming blows. It allows the bodyweight to be positioned further forward. If a lead left hook is thrown from this position, it may produce a powerful swinging action in the lead leg and produce a more explosive punch.
