  • Why did it happen?
  • During the 1950's and 60's the Civil Rights movement presented a series of sit ins, boycotts and peaceful protest, fighting for equal rights. A series of laws were created in order to suppress white Americans, and make them inferior by segregating both races.

  • No freedom for Black Americans!
  • It began while protesting up the street and being spotted by police. After being arrested and taken to the country jail. However, due to overcrowding, all the minors were taken to an amusement park jail where Judy spent the night.
  • Due to white superiority many black minorities were lynched, beaten, and taken of their rights. Therefore Black americans took a nonviolent approach to make change. Although Black Americans request was valid, White Americans began to bomb churches, use mobs and other violent approaches to prevent the gain of freedom.
  • White persons of power refused to grand Black Americans equal rights, and instead made laws preventing them from gaining any form of power. The Black community refused to be treated badly in the eyes of the system and potested.
