They succeeded on tying John. They now had all the men tied up.
Frederick didn’t want to get caught with the protections so he threw it in the fire because Mr. Hamilton had wanted to examine them. But he forgot since he had to help tie up Henry. Henry said, “What do I do with my protection?” Frederick replied, “Uhh, eat with your biscuit from breakfast and keep absolutey nothing, tell that to John.” Henry goes, “good idea.” After the constables came back into the room, they took them to prison.
Frederick was now full of misery. He had been in prison for one week now. He was alone and in the walls of a stone prison. The chance of freedom was taken away. But, to Frederick’s surprise, his master, Captain Auld came and took him out of prison. He was planning on sending him to Alabama but for some cause that didn’t happen. But he ended up sending Frederick to Baltimore to live with his brother Hugh, In the end, Frederick didn’t get complete freedom and get escape slavery but he got to learn a trade and make a living and live a much better life.
