  • The West Africans mined salt (the salt mines were in the north), but also had resources like grains, and leather.
  • The West Africans used camels as a way of transportation for them.
  • The two groups would trade at a river, near Ghana. It was a silent trade or barter.
  • This was good, because it kept the secret of where the Wangaran's gold was.
  • This was also good because then the West Africans got some gold, and got wealthy.
