  • The March on Washington was held Wednesday, August 28, 1963. 250,000 people came to the Lincoln Memorial to hear Martin Luther King's Speech. His goal was to have  equal freedom and rights for men and women.  It is also the occasion of MLK's Iconic "I have a dream speech.''  This was one of the largest civil rights rallies in U.S. HIstory.
