Welcome to our parish young man and woman! Can I know your names ijo and iha?
Hmmm... Nicole and John, beautiful names indeed. It reminded me of someone.
Goodmorning father! I am Nicole and this is my brother John.
It's okay John! I will tell you a story. This is about a kind man who still makes a big impact in our society despite being born in the 17th century.
Umm father? Do you sharing who is this person that remembered when you heard our names?
During the 17th century, in Reims France, a young man named John Baptist de La Salle was born of Nicole Moet and Louise de La Salle. He was fascinated by the stories of saints told by his maternal grandmother.
I will never forget these stories grandmother. These are fascinating stories. It inspired me to dream of being a priest!
My grandson, I hope upon sharing these stories of saints, you will grow as a great man with a kind heart.
De La Salle, I admire your dedication in your vocation. Despite the tragedy about your parents, your faith did not waver. You still entered the seminary.
With his determination of serving God, St. John the Baptist de La Salle entered the Seminary in St. Sulpice
It was not easy professor. But my faith in Him helped through it. My heart is in this vocation. I became so happy upon my entry.
In God's will, let's help these children and allow them to have an opportunity for a better life. Let us be the light and teach them.
De La Salle is a compassionate person. He showed his faith in Him through service and compassion.
Do not fear my brothers. God will provide. He will help us through this.
Despite his good intentions, problems still arise. Teachers were criticizing the work, as they saw that the survival of the school is at a rocky road. Their faith wavered except De La Salle.
It's easy for you to talk. You have your riches however, we are poor men with nothing. If the work dies, so do we.
