Realizing the truth about the situation, De La Salle went to Parmenie and pray. He took a dramatic step...
Lord, I've decided. I will sell all my possessions. I will live a life similar to them. I will save the work we've started. In this way, I could help people and live through Your will.
His surrender to God allowed him to move past the wall. To keep the work alive, he made a heroic vow with two other brothers.
As a retired individual, De La Salle reflected and live in total obedience to God.
Upon my resignation as the superior, I hope the work continue to prosper and help the people in need. Through God, I hope they find strength in every obstacle the work could face.
That is the story of St. John Baptist De La Salle based on the stages of faith. His work still continue to influence the society today.

Indeed! I will never disagree with that.
I am so lucky to have the same first name as him. It was an inspiring story. It truly moved my heart.
