Do all of you know what the Constitution is?
There are seven Philippine Constitution that were framed in our history. The first one is the 1987 Constitution of Biak-na-Bato, that was last only for 2 years and was superseded by laws and decrees made by Aguinaldo.
The second constitution is the 1899 Malolos Constitution. The Malolos Republic was the first democratic government of the country but it was a short-lived government.
Third is the 1935 Constitution and the Commonwealth Government. Then, the fourth constitution is the 1943 Constitution which is the constitution during the Japanese Occupation.
Followed by the fifth constitution which is the 1973 Constitution during the Marcos Administration Dictatorship.
Ms. Jane is it really important to have a constitution?
The sixth constitution is the the Freedom Constitution (1986). Under this Constitution, the President continued to exercise legislative powersuntil a legislative powers was convened under a new constitution.
And the last is the 1987 Constitution which is our present constitution.
Yes because the constitution is based on the important principles and rules which set out how a state will be governed.
