Nationalism was an extreme form of patriotism or loyalty to one's country. Nationalism was prevalent in early 20th century Europe and became a significant cause of world war 1. Nationalism also gave citizens inflated confidence in their nation, their governments and their military strength.

Imperialism is when the strong people take over the weak. Austria wanted to control the slaves but they wanted to control themselves. They only wanted to be in control.
The alliance system was made up of two groups. The central power was Germany, Austria, and Hungary. The allied power was France, Russia, Britian, and the US.
The Treaty of Versailles ended the war. The treaty was really all about revenage against Germany. Since they lost they would have to meet all of the requirements.
