This is a story about a rabbit named Edward who was made of china. He was a fancy rabbit with a top hat and nice clothes. He was stolen from his owner Abilene who loved him and tossed into the sea by two mean boys. He was then found by a fisherman and brought home and was loved by him and his wife Nellie. Their daughter was jealous so she trashed the rabbit. He was then found at a dumpster by a garbage man and then sold to a store. He was then bought by a little girl who really wanted him. Edward was just a toy made of china but the narrator showed his feelings about being thrown into the sea and being owned by different people. I think the author was trying to show that some people value things differently and your trash may be someone else's joy.

Hi! We live on Egypt Street! My name is Abilene and this is my favorite rabbit toy and he is made of China.
I can't believe those boys threw Edward into the sea! Come baaaack Edward!!
Haha! Down he goes!
I'm so glad to be saved and go to a new home! That was a long 297 days!
What is this? Looks interesting. Im taking him home to my wife, Nellie.
My mom and dad are paying way too much attention to you! In the trash you go!!!
Well that rabbit looks cool, I'll keep him even though I don't know what to do with him.
I guess I have now been sold to this store to be bought by someone else.
