  • One thing Rome left behind was the republic. A republic has some laws that can not be taken away or changed by the government.
  • Architecture 
  • The romans used laws and we use laws also. We use latin terms they used and we are similar to them this way.
  • Construction
  • Rome left behind a language called latin. A lot of english words have latin roots or have latin words. Rome spoke greek as well in the east after the west fell. All doctors and scientist learn it because a lot of parts on humans have latin names and so they can communicate.
  • Christianity
  • The romans had domes and arches in their buildings because it was good support for big buildings. They were known to be great builders because we discover concrete from them.
  • The Romans were also known for their construction . They built a building that is known today called Hagia Sophia. It was built as a church that is made out of concrete, pillars, arches and domes. It was built in the Byzantine Empire.
  • Rome is responsible for christianity. Christianity is inspired by jesus. Jesus was born in Judea and was jewish.
