  • he reduced the number of jagirs which decrease his connection with the mughal empire.
  • why am i not a jagirdar anymore?
  • i depend on the ijadari system which is the bankers who take tax from revenue farmers .
  • awadh is a very prosperous region because it controlled the fertile region of ganga
  • the bankers and the fertile soil caused the ijadari system to be a big hit compared to the jagirdari system .awadh was the first mughal state to employ this system.
