  • Cataloina, Spain- Nationalist want to break off from Spain because they want their independence. They think they pay too much for taxes & they do so much for their country.

  • Cataloina is one of the wealthiest and most productive of Spain's regions. Their history has been dated back for more than 1,000 years.
  • Spain depends too much on them so by letting them have their independence then it would affect them greatly.
  • 25% of Spain's exports
  • 16% of Spain's population lives in Catalonia
  • 19.9% of Spain's GDP
  • 20.7% of foreign investment
  • After the vote, some voters and some politicians were attacked, the police force used some unnecessary violence on people.
  • Protesters attacked by police. Bystander says it is "Getting out of control."
  • As a result the Spanish has disapproved Catalonia's independence and will stay with Spain.
