  • Hey Miss.B!What is Global Warming?
  • You see, the decay of plant and animal matter produce CO2, photosynthesis USUALLY keeps this stable.
  • Well you see, Global Warming has been around for a long time!
  • But in recent years something has happened!
  • What happened, Miss, B?
  • Natural creating CO2 is not threat. However! Human activities are causing global warming.
  • Here are some good examples.
  • Production of fossil fuels, landfills & livestock, emit methane, industrial & agricultural activities that use fertilizers that produce nitrous oxide.
  • Deforestation is and example of a rising CO2 percentage in the atmosphere.
  • Humans have also created greenhouse gasses that nature does not create
  • As sunlight hits the earth, some of the warmth is absorbed by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (NO2). These gases trap heat and cause the planet to warm through a process called the greenhouse effect.
  • Since 1751 about 337 billion metric tons of CO2 have been released into the atmosphere from the burning of fossil fuels and cement production.
