  • Hoot by Carl Hiaasen is about a boy named Roy whihas to move a lot. When Roy sees a running boy he is determened to find out who he really is. When Roy finds out who he is, Roy helps him with his mission 
  • Climax
  • When Roy finally get to see the running boy he says his name is Mullet Fingers. Roy ask what Mullet Finger is trying to do Roy deciedes to help Mullets Fingers along with his step-sister Beatrice.What the 3 of them are doing is trying to save the owls at Mother Pualaś Pancake house.
  • Falling Action
  • When Roy finds out that they don't have a permit to build he gets angry because the owls aren't being protected. Later he tells his classmates for his presentation at school. He does this because of that next day when the Mother Paula's ceremony  he would tell that they don,t have a permit for the owls.
  • Resolution
  • When Roy got home he asked his parents if they could write a note to the school so he could go to the Mother Paula's ceremony. He tells them the problem with the owls and they agree with him. His parents write the note and they are very proud of Roy for his good actions
  • When Roy gets to Mother Paula's ceremony he tells the crowd of people that they don't have the permit and there's owls on the property. Roy and Chuck Muckle argue about the owls. That's when Mullet Fingers puts himself in a hole with the owls.  
  • When Kimberly Lou Dixon finds out they're going to kill the owls she quits the commercial for Mother Paula's and joined Roy, Beatrice, and other people who were surrounding Mullet Fingers.
