  • This amendment abolished slavery and involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime. In Congress, it was passed by the senate on April 8, 1964, and by the House on January 31, 1865.
  • This amendment protects the rights of citizens to ''bear arms'' or own weapons such as guns. This amendment was added to the Constitution on December 15, 1971 an Congress made this.
  • This amendment prohibits the federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines, or cruel and unusual punishments. This was created by Congress on 1791.
