one day Jesus stood by the lake teaching a crowd that had gathered. he taught them lessons and parables. he taught them the parable of the sower, the parable of the mustard seed, and the parable of the growing seed. he enjoyed going to the lake to be with the crowd of people from the town and would often go every day.
"Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"
when it was evening and all the crowds had left Jesus and his disciples decided they wanted to cross the other side so they started walking to find a boat that could help them begin their journey. when they found one Jesus and his disciples boarded the ship one by one
"Be Quiet! Be Still"
it was nighttime now and everything outside was cool and calm. They all got into the boat and started to relax. all together they ate, drank, and played games. The night was pleasant and after a long day, they all went to their rooms and fell asleep to the soothing sway of the lightly rocking waves.
"Who is this? even the wind and the waves obey Him!"
"why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith"
it was early in the morning and it was storming outside. Thunder, lightning, rain, and harsh waves shook and rocked the boat. Jesus was still sleeping in his room in the boat's cabin when one of his disciples, scared the boat would tip over due to the storm, ran in to wake him and said "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"
Jesus ran outside to see the storm and what his disciples were talking about drowning. after seeing the storm he got up and stood at the bow of the boat and yelled in a powerful and booming voice to the waves "Be Quiet! Be Still!" he said as the heavy rain poured down from the sky
after He demanded the waves to stop, the clouds parted, the rain stopped, and the waves calmed. he turned to His disciples and said "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" the disciples looked at Jesus shocked and happy and said to each other "Who is this? even the wind and the waves obey him!"
