Hannelore's brother, Selly, died as well as Fella. Selly died from disease and it's speculated Fella died from being beaten for loving a German soldier. Hannelore is moved to a new camp, Plazsow, where she works in Polish salt mines.
"Your feet are in my mouth!"
Hannelore meets a new friend, Eva, who speaks perfect German. She becomes her new best friend at this camp. Hannelore sees Dick at this camp, but they don't talk.
"Schindler women up and out!"
Hannelore and Eva were transported to a new camp called Brikenau where they were shaven and given almost no clothes. The beds had lice and they were treated like animals. Birkenau is a place where examination took place, and prisoners feared.
"You are all free!"
People were crammed together on the same beds which was uncomfortable. Also, they had no hope because they were in the place were Jewish people were killed most.
Hannelore, Eva, and Dick had been on the Schindler's list, or a list of Jewish people who would be saved. This filled them with joy as they left to be saved.
Hannelore, Eva, and Dick were all freed from Schnidler's camp at last. They were finally allowed to leave, and Dick and Hannelore eventually got married.
