- A report published today reveals some alarming figures about exclusions in schools in England and Wales.
- The report, published by The Nation Foundation, identifies the reasons for the high levels of expulsions as verbal abuse, violence towards teachers and non-teaching staff, damaging of school property, bullying and possession of cannabis
- The authors of the report highlight the fact that an exclusion from school is often only a symptom of deeper problems within the child's life, and that in most cases simply taking the pupil out of full-time education can cause more severe problems for the pupil in the future...
