One man from each household will take a slip of paper.
This ain't fair!
It's a sunny morning in June 27th. All the boys are playing and collecting rocks when all their parents call them. All the kids go to their parents and they are setting up for the annual lottery.
The lottery starts when Mr. Summers starts calling each man of every household to select a piece of paper from the black box; which they can't see until everybody gets their turn.
It's time to see who the winner is; it's Bill Hutchinson. The Hutchinson's won. Mrs. Hutchinson, Tessie, says it ain't fair because her husband didn't get as much time as the others to select the slip of paper.
This isn't fair!
Since the Hutchinson's won, the whole family has to go up and choose another slip of paper from the black box individually. This includes Bill, Tessie, Nancy, Bill Jr., and little Dave.
They all have their slips of paper and when they open it up Tessie got the one with the black dot on it. Mrs. Hutchinson won the lottery for her family.
Tessie is getting cornered by the whole village. She yells and screams how unfair this is when the first rock is thrown at her.
