My family is a long line of people born in China, and I was the first person to be born in a place other than China, namely Houston, Texas. After my mother married my father, they immigrated to State College, Pennsylvania from Shanghai, China, so my father could receive his M.D./Ph.D. to become a scientist. Afterwards, six months later, during his education, my father changed his program to Hershey, Pennsylvania, so my parents moved there. My father’s boss relocated the laboratory from State College to Houston, so my mother and father left Hershey and arrived in Houston in the year of 2007. There, in 2008, my mother attended graduate school at the University of Houston and was an excellent student. On April 29, 2009, near the middle of her time at U.H., my mother gave birth to me. My mother finished her education in 2010, in hopes of becoming an accountant. My parents and a one-year-old me moved to California for more of my father’s training to gain a Ph.D. degree. After about a year living in San Diego, my younger sister, Sophia, was born on March 17, 2011. My mother became an accountant at All Valley Home Care and she and my dad bought the house that we live in today, in 2015. During that time, my father received his Ph./D. Degree and became a scientist. My mother became a finance director at Toward Maximum Independence in 2015, and has been working there for six years now.
