She sees an air force pilot crash to his own demise, the pilot knew he could eject his seat but the plane would land in the park and kill all those kids. After that day she not only had a dreadful reminder of how ones hopes and dreams are difficult to achieve but that the sky wasn't only beauty, it was also death.
