Good Morning! Here are the Ural Mountains. These are located in Central Russia.
Right in front of me is a spruce tree. These are commonly found in taiga areas.
This desert is located south of Russia, in the Russian Republics.
Here in the Ural Mountains, the climate is mild and cool in the winter. The land around the Ural Mountains is best for agriculture and grazing. These mountains are relatively low.
The tundra here is frigid- I am in Siberia right now.
It is getting late! I need to finish this tour of Russia quickly because of the time!
Taiga landscapes are great for timber industries because the trees provide plenty of wood.
Right behind me is a Siberian lake. Inside it, it is full of methane, and it is all trapped under the permafrost.
Here is the desert located in the "Stans", such as Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
Back here in the tundra, there is a permanent layer of snow and ice, known as permafrost.
The tundra is located in northern Russia-mostly Siberia. In the tundra, there is a small population because it is so cold, and the land is mostly flat.
The Siberian lakes are located in northern Russia, or Siberia. These lakes are unusual because they contain a gas known as methane, and whenever a person is exploring the lakes, sometimes the methane explodes into the atmosphere!
In the northern parts of Russia, there is a permanent layer of snow and ice known as permafrost. Not only does it never melt, even in the summertime, but it also freezes over the Siberian lakes, and traps methane, a greenhouse gas, in the lakes permanently as well.
