  • Persia is attacking Ionia and Greece agrees to help them and give them supplies and weapons, which angered Persia very much.
  • NOOOOOOO
  • After the Athens's won at the Battle of Marathon a man by the name of Pheidippides ran about 25 miles to Athens to let the rest of the people know they had beat the mighty Persians. After he let the people know, he collapsed and died of exhaustion.
  • WE WIN!!!
  • Is he dead?
  • King Leonidas of Sparta attempts to defend the Thermopylae with his men which results in them stalling the Persians while the other Greek groups prepare for the Persians. King Leonidas's last battle
  • THIS IS SPARTA
  • The Battle of Salamis was a much-needed win for the Greeks. While the Persians had so many ships, they had a hard time navigating so when the Greeks saw this they sailed in and defeated the Persian fleet whom had just put Athens to burn.
  • We win again!
  • Before the Battle of Plateau the Persian ruler Xerxes had retreated with much of his men back to Persia, leaving his general in charge. The Greeks had prepared very much for this battle and weren't backing down. During this battle they found the general, killed him, and forced tht rest of his army to retreat.
  • The war is over, we won!
  • After the war, Athens decided to create an alliance with some other Greek tribes. Some of these other tribes did not want to be with Athens but they were forced to. They called this the Dalian league. Athens borrowed money from the league to build back up their city. The tribes that were able to resist the Delian league joined the Pelopennisian league which was led by Sparta.
