  • Us the Germans were capable of   conquering France. Now you must sign this armistice!
  • Yes we understand we will. 
  • June 17, 1940  The French were defeated and had to sign an armistice. The armistice made them have to quit World War 2. This meant that Britain would stand alone against the Germans, since the French were their allies. Signatories for Germany were Wilhelm Keitel and the commander of chief of the Wehrmacht. The signatories for France include Charles Huntziger.
  • They're coming! Take cover!
  • August 13-18, 1940 Attacks on airfields and Radar Stations. There were many air-force casualties on Britain.
  • August 13-19, 1940  . Adolf Hitler decides to attack Britain's channel ports and destroy all planes.  
  • August 19-September 6,1940 Cities and towns in Britain were bombed and the RAF launched bombs on Berlin and fought off German aircraft. Bombs were launched on London and London returned the favor of sending heavier bombs on Germany.
  • September 16, 1940 German's launched bombs on London. London then returned with heavier bombs because they wanted to prove that they aren't as weak as Germany thinks. 
  • September 7, 1942 & September 15, 1942 On September 7 Germany made their first attack on London, it was pretty successful. On September 15 the second attack on London happened but this one didn't go as planed. The Germans had many heavy losses and many falls of German bomber crews. The British surprised the Germans by appearing in large groups and shooting many Germans. Hitler decided to end the Battle of Britain and postpone permanently the landing on British Isles.
