- Oh my! Hey neighbour!! How are you?
- Hey! I am doing great. I got bored and came out for a walk. What are you doing?
- Well because you asked...I came out here to throw out some old clothes of mine into the trash.
- Oh man...I should talk to him about this right away!
- uh hey...can I talk to you about something important?
- Yeah. Whats wrong?
- Uh...and why is that?
- So, I think you shouldn't throw your clothes out, especially into the garbage.
- I believe you should donate it instead. You would be helping out the environment in so many ways and other people can REUSE it.
- If not, your old clothes would end up in a landfill. When it ends up in a landfills, it would contribute to more pollution.
- When clothes decompose in landfills, they emit toxic and harmful greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere. Those gases affect us humans, animals, crops, and everything.
- Oh my. You are so right! Well, what should I even do??
- Don't you think someone else might use your old clothes?
- Well well...I think I have a great idea! Follow me...
- Thank you so much for taking me to the local thrift store.
- No problem! If you know anyone else who throws their clothes out...maybe help them out by educating them on the topic and tell them to come here!
