  • Political Leadership
  • ”The expansion of Slavery will come to an end, and all people held as slaves, shall be free.”
  • Great! You have made the brightest decision Lee.  We are back to being a united country again.
  • Military Leadership
  • I surrender..
  • Military Strategy
  • OH YEAH! Here we come! We are definitely  suffocating them.
  • Abraham Lincoln was republican from Illinois and later on became the Sixteenth president of the United States. He opposed the expansion of slavery, considering equal rights for African Americans. Lincoln delivered the Emancipation Proclamation and set in motion the Civil War, set on to preserve the Union. He was assassinated in 1865.
  • Advantage
  • By the way this is not even half of us .
  • There are so many of you!
  • Ulysses S. Grant was the eighteenth president of the United States. He  received a field promotion to Lieutenant General in charge of all Union forces. He accepted General Robert E. Lee’s surrender at Appomattox Courthouse, ending the Civil War.
  • Disadvantage
  • Be ready to shoot!
  • Where are we even at? They came out of no where.
  •  The Unions most important military strategy was the Anaconda Plan.  It was suggested by Winfield Scott  to “slowly choke and suffocate the South.”  The plan would imposed a blockade to stop Southern trade with the world.  Union army later on  divided an isolates sections of the south, in order to capture major cities like the capital.
  • Advantage
  • The Union had many advantages and one of the major advantages was having a large population. Then Union has about 22 million people, and it was an advantage of in raising an army and supporting war efforts. Another advantage, was that although the Confederacy did have good political leaders too, the Union has more.
  • One huge disadvantage of the Union was having to conquer a large area of unfamiliar land. The Union didn’t know the Confederates land like the Confederate soldiers did. This became a huge disadvantage for the Union Army because, not knowing the way and out of an area can become a problem especially because they didn’t know their most vulnerable spot.
  • The Union also had industrial and financial advantages. 90% of the nations factories produce cloth, boots, and weaponry, which supplied the Unions army.  The union also had the national treasury and the bank reserves ensuring financial security for the Union.
  • We make all sort of supplies for the Unions army such as boots, cloth and, weaponry.  Our Industry is striving!
