The theme in the short stories "Pandora's Box" and "The Monkey's Paw" is don't let curiosity drive your actions. They both let bad things happen when curiosity got the best of them. They also had consenquences for what they did.
In "Pandoras box" she let out bad things throughout the world. She was very upset that she opened the box. Some things got out like saddness, death, and misery
In both "pandoras box" and "The Monkey's" had different actions that made them have consenquences. The monkey's paw was left in the open on a table. They left it on the table because they were still deciding to use it or not.
In the story "Pandora's box" they hid it under the the bed. Pandora's husband knew there was something bad in it, so she hid it under he bed. Her curiosity got to her and she opened it.
