The cell is in this stage most of the time. DNA and chromosomes duplicate and prepare for mitosis.
The nucleus starts to disappear. Centrioles appear and move to opposite ends of the cell. The chromatin are floating aruond in the cell.
The nucleus is gone and chromatids attach to spindle fibers and line up in the middle, preparing to be pulled apart
The sister chromatids move to opposite sides after splitting, so both of the new cells both have DNA.
Two new nuclei form and the spindle fibers disappear. The cell starts to split in half.
The one cell splits into two new identical cells with 46 chromosomes in each.
