Storyboard Text

  • Again & Again
  • Character Contradiction
  • Tough Question
  • This is showing again and again because for seven days in a row at midnight the narrator would come watch the old man sleep.
  • Imagery
  •  This is showing character contradiction because in the beginning of the story the narrator was very relived and happy but towards the end he felt very guilty.
  • Simile
  • The tough question in the situation was what the hatred was for the old man from the narrator that he couldn't just find out.
  • Simile
  •  He had the eye of a vulture --a pale blue eye, with a film over it. This piece of evidence shows imagery of the narrator describing the old man's eye.
  • Ha! would a madman have been so wise as this. The  madman is being compared to being wise by using wise.
  • I had directed the ray as if by instinct, precisely upon the damned spot. This is a simile because it is comparing the man being directed to the spot as a ray by using as.
