My name is Nyneve & I am here to take Mordred to live with his birth mother because it is no longer safe for him here.
I am Mordred?
I'm going to name her Gull
I wont always be here for you, Mordred, so i'm giving you this Branchet so you will never be alone even when the whole world is against you
After Merlin told King Arthur of his fate (to be killed by his illegitimate son), he convinced Arthur to gather all of the baby boys in the kingdom and put them all in a boat and send it out to sea so he wouldn't have to deal with killing his own son.
The boat floated along and reached the shore while a fishermen was out and there was only one baby still alive, Mordred. This man took the baby to his wife who had just recently lost her own baby and they named him Tad and raised them until one day when a sorceress came to take him.
i hope she is right
Mordred, you can fight your fate! Don't lose hope
Nyneve took Mordred to the kingdom of Lothian to be with his real mother, Morgouse. The king and his two half brothers would beat him up and tease him while his mother simply wanted nothing to do with him and ignored him. Nyneve recognized this and gave him a white puppy and this white puppy was a way for her to be there, when she couldn't actually be there.
I am Mordred.
How Ironic, the man that tried killing me is now welcoming me with open arms
Mordred finally had enough of the abuse so he decided to go meet his father, King Arthur. He arrived on may day (his birthday), the day of the year Arthur goes off on his own. Mordred wanted to see if Arthur was worthy of his hatred but most of all he just wanted Arthur to accept him as his son.
Nyneve always told Mordred that he could fight his fate, that he didn't have to become the person Merlin said he would become. All while Mordred was in Camelot he felt he didnt belong, but Arthur knighted him anyway. Soon after Mordred decided he couldn't stay in Camelot knowing what his fate might be, so he left for a quest to change that.
Mordred's quest didn't go as planned. He accidentally got Nyneve and gull killed by releasing Merlin, and because he couldn't handle their deaths and he didnt want his fate to come to fruition, he sold his sole and gave it to Arthur for safe keeping. Many years pass and finally the day came, the fight between Arthur and Mordred, but Arthur wasn't the one who died... It was Mordred but he wasn't quite gone.
