In the summer, a big brown bear was sleeping under an apple tree in a forest when a turtle appeared. The turtle seemed desperate for help to get to a pond so he decided to wake up the bear to get help. Once the turtle woke up the bear , the turtle asked where the nearest pond was in the forest but the bear was angry at the turtle, so he didn't give the turtle any directions to the pond and left into the forest.
After the bear left , the turtle became upset and just took the nearest trail and followed it to see where it would take him. Halfway through the trail , the turtle heard growling noises and tried to listen to what animal was making that growling noise.
Once the turtle noticed it was the bear that was angry at him earlier, he realized the bear was growling because he knew that he felt guilty afterwards because he left the turtle without any directions to the pond so the turtle quickly went into his shell to hide from the bear.
Theme / Moral / Lesson
The bear witnessed the turtle and he walked over to ask the turtle " May you come out of your shell " , and when the turtle came out he noticed that the bear was not angry with him anymore. The bear told the turtle " Follow me to the nearest pond " and so the turtle followed.
Once the bear brought the turtle to the pond ,he apologized about the way he acted when the turtle first approached him because he realized that if he woke someone up from a nap that animal would be upset. So the turtle accepted the bears apology and became best friends.
