- The High Priest called a meeting with the Jewish leaders, elders and teachers in law
- Both of the Apostles were teaching a crowd about Jesus
- Both the High Priests and the Sadducees were
- annoyed and jealous of the apostles teaching about Jesus
- The apostles were arrested and thrown into jail
- So...
- To decide what to do with the Apostles and to ask the Apostles why they were teaching about Jesus and create a punishment for them to stop.
- In conclusion, they whipped the Apostles and ordered them to never speak or teach about Jesus again
- The Council couldn't punish the Apostles badly because so much people already believed what the Apostles taught
- And throughout people's homes and the Temple, they continued to preach and teach about the Good News and the Lord.
- However the Apostles didn't listen
