Well, cells make up all living things. You, a frog, even a whale!
Cells are the smallest functional unit of an organism. Some organisms only have one cell, some have many.
In 1665, Robert Hooke invented the basic light microscope and observed cells for the first time. Rudolf Vierhow developed the a theory that cells only come from other cells in 1858, which led to the Cell Theory.
The cell theory:1. All organisms are composed of cells2. Cells are alive and the basic living units of an organization of all organisms3. All cells come from another cell.
Now you know what you are made of and how it came to be.
