  • Townshend Acts Reaction 
  • After the Seven Year war England had large war debts they needed to repay. They saw it just to tax the American colonists to repay their debts, because most of the fighting had been in the Americas especially  in the Ohio river valley
  • Intolerable Acts 
  • After trial and error of trying to get the colonists to pay off Englands war debts in 1767 Englands parliament decided to try a new plan, to  force colonists to feed and house British soldiers, and to inforse taxation. 
  • Intolerable Acts Reaction 
  • Colonists despised of the Townshend Acts and acted against it, the protested and boycotted. Doing everything in their power to show that they had enough of England's unfair treatment, women even started to protested.
  • The Intolerable Acts of 1770 were created to punish the colonists for the Boston tea party, closing the port of Boston. they also brought more soldiers to the colonies and banned town meetings. 
  • The Intolerable Acts only made the colonies unify to help Boston and fight back against the British
