  • AHHHHHHH
  • Oof!
  •  In the peaceful country of Herot, trouble arose. The great and terrible monster Grendel has emerged. Grendel was hungry and he wanted to feed on Danes. It´s up to Beowulf the viking and his fellow soldiers to defeat this ghastly beast.
  • Beowulf arrived in Herot and found Grendel. He approached him cautiously but was immediately grabbed. Suddenly, soldiers came out of hiding and attacked the monster. Beowulf grabbed on to Grendel's arm and didn't let go.
  • Ugh, nasty!
  • No matter how hard the soldiers tried, they could not break the skin of Grendel with their swords. The monster whipped around violently, but could not shake Beowulf off. The strength of the viking warrior was almost god-like.
  • Did that really happen?
  • Yup!
  • WIth one large yank, Beowulf ripped Grendel´s arm right out of the socket. Grendel knew he wouldn't be able to defeat Beowulf now so he fled back to his cave.
  • Woah!
  • Grendel retreated to his cave across the marsh. There, he slowly bled to death.
  • For a war trophy, Beowulf took Grendel's missing arm and hung it up. The people of Herot were very thankful for Beowulf. Thanks to him, Grendel the dreadful monster never bothered them again.
