I did it!!
In 1935 I was the first woman to enter the Bendix Trophy Race but placed 5th place.
Fly Around World?
As well as on January 11, 1935 I was the first person to fly solo from Hawaii to California.
On my way!!
On April 19, 1935 I was declared the first person & woman to fly solo from Los Angeles to Mexico City.
After doing so I decided that on March 17, 1937I would make my first attempt to fly around the world but I needed more funding and after getting it I attempted a second time on June 1, 1937 to fly from the west to the east.
On July 2, 1937 I was supposed to land in Howland Island but on the way their I disappeared.
