The Aztec people lived in a valley between two mountain ranges. The Aztec people adapted to the wetlands that were formed by building these things called chinampas. the chinampas were little plots of land that they made, that were used for farming.
There was a great importance of human sacrifice in the Aztec empire. They believed that the blood from the sacrifices kept their gods alive. Because of this the sacrifices were pretty bloody.
There were many reasons that the Aztec empire fell. One of the main reasons was because of sickness. The Spanish soldiers brought over many disease like Smallpox and measels and since these were new Native Americans had no immune system for them.
