- The Greeks learned many things from the older civilizations, Egypt and Mesopotamia. Although, they also developed many things of their own. The Greeks developed new ideas about the best way to govern a society.
- Hello Sir, As you know, we support our independence very....strongly.... and it is important for us to keep doing so. Is there anything else we should do?
- Hello, yes we can do just that, but there is something far more important. Many people are coming into Greece, when they do not live here.
- There is a lot of water and seas in Greece, especially mountains. Many Greeks became skilled sailors. They traded and brought things back and forth. They brought back new ideas too, not just items.
- On the Hilltop, there was a acropolis and there were different rooms to dedicate different gods and goddesses. Down below there was a town with a market, a theater, some houses, and a few public buildings.

- Monarchy is where a king or a queen rules. In this image the queen is ruling.
- Weapons are transformed from bronze to iron. Iron was cheaper than bronze, so people could now buy iron helmets, swords, etc. A new fighting technique was made, called the phalanx.
