In the Persian War the Persians led campaigns to conquer Greece. King Darius was ruler of Persia sent messengers to ask Greece to ask Greece to except Persia. In response the Greeks executed the messengers and started the Persian Wars. Lucky for Greece they won.
The Persians landed at marathon with 600 ships ordered by King Darius, the Persians waited for Greece but they didn't show up until 3 days later. The Athenians caught the Persians off guard and won the battle.
The Battle of Marathon
After the battle of marathon the greeks took a break then the got into another war with the the persians. The persians invaded greece through the mountains all of the greeks died and the persians one. this gave Greeks time to plan for the next battle.
The Battle of Thermopylae
The Athens started to plan a war against the Persians. First the athens lured the persians into a straight narrow path of salamis. The persians ships were too small to fit through so the greeks lead them into a trap then attacked them. That technique led the greeks to a great victory.
Battle of Salamis
The greek city states came together the strongest they can be they had over 100,000 soldiers on each side and defeated the persians once and for all. The Persians had no control over the Greek city states and weekend after they lost.
The Battle of Plataea
After all the battles the greeks had they finally signed a peace agreement with the Persians. When they did this they entered the golden age and didnt have a war for a while. The greeks finally had freedom.
