Storyboard Text

  • In the text it states, "Circe's place... off the roof... Don't leave me unburied... Burn me with all my armor" (Homer pg 67). This means Elpnor does not wan Odysseus to forget her because she might be cursed by the gods as well like Odysseus.
  • In the text it states, "I fear you will no escape the notice of Poseidon. Remember he is very angry with you" (Homer 67). Tiresias is telling Odysseus that he has to be careful because of the gods, specifically Poseidon because he's on the sea.
  • In the text it states, "Are you still wandering from Troy? Haven't you reached Ithaca?" (Homer 69).This shows that Odysseus' mother is wondering what is going on in Odysseus' life and what he should really be doing.
  • Based on the text, "Clymnestra, in league with Aegisthus, plotted against me and slew me a a feast" (Homer pg 71). This shows that Agamemmnon died not because of battle, but being stabbed by his wife and leading to being gentle to wives.
  • Based on the text, "I would rather be the lowliest person alive than rule all over dead" (Homer pg 73). This shows that Odysseus is telling Achilles that Odysseus to be alive rather than dead.
  • In the book, "But come here, Ajax and hear what I have to say, Conquer your pride" (Homer pg 75). This shows that Odysseus must keep his confidence in getting home.
