Storyboard Text

  • Oh, look! An Apple! I'll eat it after I'm done spraying the counter.
  • Ok! I'm done cleaning. Time to eat!
  • You probably sprayed the apple when you sprayed the counters!
  • Why Not?
  • So?
  • Wait!! Don't Eat it?
  • They clean the counters, but they're poisonous to you. your body cannot ingest these chemicals.
  • But I thought the chemicals were good?
  • Let's look at some other ways poison can enter the body, and how to stay safe from them.
  • If you eat the apple, you are transporting those chemicals into your body.
  • Poison and chemicals can also enter your body through your skin. For example, you should never touch a piece of raw meat. The meat has raw bacteria on it that can be dangerous to you.
  • Don't touch that!
  • Poison can also enter your body through inhalation. An example of this when you microwave might be smoking, or something is burning inside. Never charge into the smoke, even if you have your hand over your mouth. Try waiting till it stops burning.
  • So have you learned how to stay safe from poisons in the kitchen?
  • Yeah. Maybe I shouldn't eat this apple.
