  • racial inequality has always been an issue that we as Americans have never been able to completely solve.  An example of this is Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation.
  • Abraham Lincoln freed most slaves when he published the Emancipation Proclamation, but even he still believed that blacks and whites were not equal, so he must have treated them a little differently that he did a white man.
