  • GREECE!!!
  • What started the war?

  • The Battle of Marathon
  • Oh goodness! Who knew they would be here waiting for us.
  • They were totally surprised
  • The Persian war was between the Greeks and Persia .
  • The Battle of Thermopylae
  • The Persian war started because of the Ionian revolt. Persia was being greedy and wanted to expand their land by getting Greece, but Greece was not going to let that happen so they stood up to Persia by going in war with them.
  • The Battle of Salamis
  • Your going down are ships are better.
  • The battle of Marathon happened in the year 490 BC. In this battle the Persians were not expecting the Greeks to fight a defensive since they were not going to fight offensively. It was like a surprise attack. The Greeks won and only lost 192 men while Persia lost 6,400 men.
  • The  Battle of Thermopylae was in the year 480 BC. Before this battle there was a traitor from the Greek side that would show the Persians a way to attack the Greeks from the rear end. The Greeks never surrendered in this battle. They fought to the death.
  • The Battle of Salamis also happened in the year 480 BC. This battle was the battle that was fought on water and depended on the quality of your ship to win the Battle. The Greeks won this battle and destroyed most of the Persian fleet.
