  • These are the times that try men's souls.
  • The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first military engagements of the American Revolutionary War. The battles were fought on April 19, 1775 in Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, within the towns of Lexington, Concord, Lincoln, Menotomy, and Cambridge
  • Saratoga Horatio gates and Burgoyne New York October, 1777
  • British won, but  lost over 1000 men while the Americans lost 400. It was important to the militia because they just beat the most powerful army. The war took place in Massachusetts June, 1775.
  • Valley Forge George Washington Pennsylvania winter 1777-1778
  • The Americans won and captured 1000 Hassan while the Americans lost 10. The Americans army started to attract new soldiers.

  • The British surrender to the Americans. Benedict Arnold betrayed his army and the battle at Saratoga was a turning point
  • The Americans suffered harsh conditions. it was named valley forge because of the hardship the Americans endured.
  • Americans won the fort. The Americans got a hold on the vast region between the great lakes and the Ohio River.
